An ultralight 190 watt pancake motor is connected to the rear wheels by sealed fixed gear drive chain and is powered by a 24 volt Lithium Polymer battery pack to provide a range of 20 miles on a single charge at cost of only £0.05p (pedals provide reserve backup if battery charge has been spent).

The A-bike's 8" diameter wheels are carefully drilled to provide optimum weight and strength.

The high performance 90psi pneumatic tyres allow for a smooth ride on most hard surfaces.

In addition the use of a dynamically geared twin chain system enables users to pedal normally and retain their balance.

The internal twin chain system is totally encased at the rear of the A-Bike City which has the benefit of keeping grease and dirt away from clothes and hands. The A-Bike City has a single gear transmission optimised for short journeys and easy use.

Sinclair recommend a minimum height of 4" 9' but the saddle height is easily adjustable to accomodate up to 6'3` and have set the maximum user weight to 85kgs/13st 5lbs to ensure optimum performance and routine safety, although the A-Bike City is fully tested to above this weight.
